Up and Down
2004 |
In this project, I photographed the sky from various points in my front and back yards in Tucson, Arizona. Once the color film was processed, I returned to those points and took a rubbing of the ground with the film. I was interested in the possibility of collapsing the space between the sky and ground onto one plane so that one might be able to experience the sensation of looking up and looking down all at once. “B” means the image was taken in the backyard and “F” means the image was taken in the front yard.
